The ©Professor Montejo YouTube series launches Telepathine Studio’s academic and intellectual side. Creative Director Carolina Montejo teaches you everything she has learned formally in her long career as an educator in writing, media, art, film, and environmental studies. Carolina’s first job was as an English teacher back when she was 21 and lived in Bogotá, Colombia. She then started teaching creative photography and continued her docent journey after moving to the US, where she was a teaching assistant at UC San Diego. After three years as a Teaching Assistant in media production, performance art, and writing, she became a lecturer at various universities, teaching argumentative writing, film theory and production, environmental studies, media and identity, climate change, and ecofeminism, among others. Alongside her career as an educator, she has had a career as an artist, focusing primarily on film & photography. Her documentary and experimental films, photos, and video installations have been shown primarily in the US and South America. With ©Professor Montejo, Carolina’s mission is to teach you everything she has learned over 15 years of being a docent and everything she is still mastering.
